Chief Christopher W. Alexander, MBA

Chief Alexander has an extensive background in the fire service and private EMS. He currently serves as the Fire Chief for the City of Mukilteo, Washington. Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief for San Marcos/Hays County EMS in central Texas, revitalizing a thirty year old service. He previously served as the EMS Director for the Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department. KCKFD is the largest fire-based ALS system in Kansas, providing both ALS first response and ALS transport. He planned and implemented the department’s ALS transport service, overseeing all aspects of the program including performance metrics, quality, billing and collections, budget, and procurement. He has over 30 years experience as an EMT, paramedic, fire fighter, dispatcher, and EMS instructor. His passion is regional collaboration and cooperation to enhance public safety.

Christopher holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer program. His is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the Washington Fire Chiefs Association.
