George P. “Chip” Sovick, III
Mr. Sovick has more than 25 years in the health care industry. He has served in a leadership role for a major air medical company and established the company’s first international air medical program. He also presided over the development of a large multi-state air medical and critical care ground network, serving as President and CEO over 20 years. His area of expertise includes extensive experience in operational leadership, strategic planning, asset acquisition and financing, billing analysis and revenue enhancement. He previously served in a leadership role for a large progressive County EMS agency.
Mr. Sovick has served in several key leadership industry and community positions including on the Board of Directors for the Association of Critical Care Transport (ACCT), President of the Ambulance Association of West Virginia, and via Gubernatorial appointment, he served on the West Virginia EMS Advisory Council and West Virginia State Trauma Action Team which set legislation to reorganize the State’s EMS and Trauma System.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from West Virginia University and holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Charleston. He has served as Adjunct Faculty for the Southern WV Community College System and West Virginia State University.
